Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Pick up from Arusha hotel at 8.00 am then take a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park and you will have a full-day game drive inside this park. Later you will drive to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight. Location of Tarangire National Park is 115 km from Arusha and covers an area of 2800 km². Wild animals drink water from Tarangire River where the name Tarangire comes from. The park has major attractions which are a large number of elephants, climbing tree pythons and baobab trees. Also, you will be able to see lions, leopards and other animals.
Day 2 Tarangire to Serengeti
After waking up this morning you will have a full breakfast, pack your luggage in the safari jeep, then you will start to do an en-route game drive to Serengeti with your lunch inside the jeep.
On the way, you will be able to view the beautiful Rift Valley, view of Ngorongoro Crater and you will reach Serengeti around 3.00 pm.
You will have an evening game drive in central Serengeti where you will be able to see the sunset, and after you will have dinner and overnight in Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge inside Serengeti.
Major attractions in Serengeti are endless plains and the great Serengeti wildebeest migration which involves 1.5 million herbivores and followers. Predators move from one area to another in almost all parts of Serengeti because of drought. Our driver guide will make sure you are able to see part of the wildebeest migration. The movement of vast numbers of Serengeti’s wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and impala, you will be able to see them in Serengeti.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater
You will wake up at 5.45 am for an early breakfast and see the sunrise inside Serengeti. After you finish your breakfast, you will do an early morning game drive up to 11.30 am, then head back to the campsite for a hot lunch and pack your stuff in the jeep.
After finishing your hot lunch, you will proceed with a game drive in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro crater and Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ngorongoro crater to Lake Manyara
You will wake up around 5.30 am for your breakfast. After breakfast, you will descend to the Ngorongoro crater floor where you will be able to see all the Big Five. Also, you will see different types of birds, and black rhinos available inside the crater. On this day, you will have your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and high concentrations of flamingos.
Later, after 6 to 7 hours of game drive inside the crater floor, you will start ascending from the crater, passing through the campsite for packing all luggage inside the jeep ready to drive back to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight. On this day, after the crater tour, you will have a walking tour inside Mto wa Mbu village where you will experience how local people live, see banana plantations, and you can taste local food also.
Day 5: Lake Manyara to Arusha
You will head to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive. Inside the park, you will be able to see climbing tree lions and a lot of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. You will also visit a hot spring. On the same day, you will visit a Maasai Boma where you will see how they live and learn their culture and traditions. Later, you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
