Tarangire National Park & Ngorongoro Crater

2 Day Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Classic Safari

What to expect

This 2-day budget safari takes you through two of northern Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Tarangire is renowned for its enormous elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, leopards, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. Visitors can expect to experience a variety of habitats—from open savannahs to riverine forests—offering excellent opportunities for game viewing, wildlife photography, and enjoying the serene African landscapes. The park’s relatively low tourist numbers make it perfect for peaceful, intimate encounters with nature.

The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders and a haven for wildlife. As the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, it supports an incredible density and diversity of animals, including the Big 5—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. Expect to see zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and flamingos as you explore the crater floor, all set against dramatic escarpments and lush scenery. This safari provides travelers with the perfect combination of adventure, wildlife immersion, and unforgettable views, all while keeping costs affordable and comfortable with an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.
