Day 1: Moshi – Machame Gate – Machame Camp
After breakfast in Moshi, transfer to Machame Gate (1,800m) for registration. Begin trekking through dense rainforest alive with bird calls and the sight of black-and-white colobus monkeys. The path is lush, damp, and gently ascending. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before reaching Machame Camp (3,000m) in the late afternoon. Settle into camp, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp
Wake to fresh mountain air and begin the climb out of the rainforest into moorland. The path narrows and climbs up rocky ridges, offering sweeping views of Kibo Peak. Watch the sun rise over Africa from its highest point, take photos, and savor the moment before descending to Barafu for rest, then on to Mweka Camp (3,100m).
