Day by Day Experience
Moshi Town
Arrival in Moshi/Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha, where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a pre-climb briefing, equipment check, and dinner. Rest well before the adventure begins.

Day 1: Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut
After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park and register at Momella Gate (1,500m). Begin trekking through lush montane forest alive with birds, colobus monkeys, and giraffes. Picnic lunch is enjoyed on the trail before continuing upward to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m). Dinner and overnight in the hut.
Shira 1 Camp
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut
Climb steeply through the forest and into open heath and moorland. The trail provides stunning views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone. Picnic lunch is served along the route before arriving at Saddle Hut (3,500m). In the afternoon, you may hike Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and panoramic views. Dinner and overnight in the hut.
Moshi Town
Day 3: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak – Miriakamba Hut
Begin the summit attempt around midnight, trekking steeply to Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m). Continue climbing along the crater rim to Socialist Peak (4,566m) in time for sunrise over Kilimanjaro. After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Saddle Hut for a meal, then continue down to Miriakamba Hut for the night.

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha/Moshi
After breakfast, descend through the forest, enjoying sightings of wildlife and lush vegetation. Arrive at Momella Gate, collect your certificates, and say farewell to the mountain crew. Transfer back to Arusha or Moshi for a hot shower and rest.
